On the 18th of October, 2010, under the vision of former President Asif Ali Zardari, the Special Security Unit was formally established as the elite operational arm of the Sindh Police, a specialised force tailored to meet the security demands of a rapidly evolving province.
What began as a focused response to rising security concerns has today grown into a multi-role protective service, trusted with the safety of foreign dignitaries, provincial leadership, critical installations and the very citizens of Sindh.
